I think I'd dare venture to say that "auto feed" may be referring to a gold advantage bots may have. But they get it from their kills and creeps like we do, so I am pretty sure they do not.
(A similar reference might be the old StarCraft AIs - the first game, they really didn't have fog of war.)
In the vein of "nerfing bots", OP, just keep ahead of the bot. Part of the practice is learning when to chase a kill and when to take lane advantage. It's a fine art that Sun Tzu studied in his own day. 
A bot forced to recall is one that you no longer have to worry about contesting lanes for a short time.
Similar concepts run with opposing players. The main difference is that bots won't call in ganks or pinch hitters like an opposing team might. When they do switch, it's a good chance for improving map awareness and mia calls.
