Shen is not OP, and frankly he's not even banworthy in low ELO. You need to have good map awareness to play him well.

Shen is one of the strongest champs when played with someone with map awareness, which is a pretty common skill past 1300 elo.

I don't get why people are bashing you for maining Shen. Why do they care? Yes, he is banned often and you won't get to play him too often, but when Shen isn't banned your team can rest assured that they have a competent Shen on their team. There is nothing worse than having a Shen on your team that isn't map aware and uses his ult at poor times and fails to use it at opportune times. Also, bad Shen's tend to whiff their taunt, which is a game changing ability. Shen isn't an auto-win unless played by someone that is at least familiar with him. Put him in the hands of someone with no experience with Shen and he will be useless, just like 90% of the other champions in this game.
