An Arena Fight in Full Swing

Rald ducked back to avoid the elbow, his face already still stinging before from the punch. He tried to step off to the side to avoid more close ranged attacks from Lucas.

Lucas simply pressed forward in the direction Rald had gone, aiming a knee just under his chest before looking to slash Rald across the chest as he fell back.

Rald managed to get his arm with the injured shoulder in the way but it still knocked some breath from him as the sword cut a shallow cut across his chest. He could take such a strike though since the poison was still yet to take affect. He quickly adopted a defensive stance preparing for Lucas' next assault.

Lucas wasn't sure how much time he had or how much effect the poison had. He knew going in and attacking would increase his blood flow and spread it faster, but Rald was likely willing to wait it out, playing things a bit more defensive himself. So he moved in again, aiming a strike for Rald's neck from a diagonal angle from his left with both hands on his sword but then adjusted so it came out across at Rald's head instead, before swinging around to go for a strike around his stomach region, quite far into short distance.

Rald went to block up but had to duck back when the strike went across his head, barely avoiding the sword. He brought his sword across to defend against the strike, having to move his stance to face it so he could better handle the force of both of Lucas' hands on the strike.

Stepping in, Lucas kicked Rald back again before slashing at his uninjured shoulder, hoping to take out that one as well.

Rald pushed back with the kick as much as he could. He opened up his shoulders more, the blade catching him a bit across the collar bone instead of the shoulder. He had to give more time for the poison to work.

The following posts have an outcome that has been worked out already between the other person and myself. No gods were modded in the making of this sequence, and we now return you to your regularly scheduled fight.

Lucas continued to push his assault, getting one minor wound on Rald after another. Slight gash across the top of his leg, slight cut on his cheek, a couple more slashes on the injured shoulder's side. But Rald always managed to move into a position that stopped it from hitting a vital motor point. It was hard not to feel desperate as he could feel himself slowing down. He moved back to a more defensive position to work out his next move.

Rald continued to maneuver and move trying to mitigate the damage Lucas was doing. A combination of luck and skill kept him from losing legs or his good arms functions but they would add up after a while. He could see Lucas slowing down a little bit though, but not as fast as he liked. Noticing Lucas go back to a defensive stance he suddenly pushed himself back quickly to try to pick up some distance, quickly sheathing his sword.

Lucas pushed forward, but was a bit slow as the gap between him and Rald widened. He deliberately slowed his forward movements, having a good idea what Rald wanted to do.
