Slasher will be doing an interview about this matter soon enough. He's said that he's been trying to contact Riot and received no answer. If there's anyone still interested, clear answers are coming.

On the Live on Three show.
This is his Twitter account, as I said he's team boss of EG so no bull**** here.
Here's the specific section of the video where he talks about these contracts

For those who don't have an idea of what's going on here's a summary, courtesy of user Lucid Dreaming who explained it really well

Riot wants organizations who field a LoL team and a Dota 2, HoN, or BLC team to drop their Dota/HoN/BLC teams or face being banned from Season 3 tournaments.
The community found out yesterday, a ****storm happened, and a Red posted here that those accusations are false. Then it was found out today that those accusations are true but Riot gave up on them when teams wouldn't give in to Riot's demands. |

[...] That would be like saying the NFL will refuse cities to participate in football games because they have a basketball team.

The now deleted comment said something along the lines of
"It was, and still is, just a rumor"

UPDATES, FRIDAY 7 SEPTEMBER
Something still doesn't fit though http://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/commen...t_this/c64jk32
Scoots still stands by what he said.
I lied about nothing. This was a policy Riot was most certainly putting in place as Riot execs have been talking to some of the top teams about it for the last few weeks. It pains me to see some other people ARE now lying and covering their tracks, but so be it. Perhaps it is in their best financial interest to do so. I firmly stand by what I said on the show, this was no "rumor" made up by outsiders, this was a detail of the S3 plan that was made public and then Riot changed their minds.
Hate me all you want, but if you think I made this **** up to cause drama or you think I hate LoL, well, you are just plain stupid.

Michael O'Dell @dignitasODEE
In Seattle I heard this MOBA rumour from several friends including @SirScoots I did not ask RIOT officially about it but I did have a Hypothetical conversation at one point over a beer and if my thoughts on the rumour went up the ladder cool, Yesterday I asked RIOT and They confirmed to me there is no exclusivity on MOBA's for the Pro League it is really that simple, everyone drop the forks & go play games
SirScoots @SirScoots
@dignitasODEE You heard it from me? Really? Interesting, and when employees tell several different people the same plan, it is not a rumor.

SirScoots @SirScoots
@Brad43074990 Nothing false about the facts. People are covering their asses, and sheep like you are not smart enough to see. Stay stupid.

Do they want to financially support an organization who "owns" most of the professional players, for them to promote their competition and other e-sports organizations, when they can kill off all the competition and take an almost instant monopoly on everythng with 1 simple contract?

Remember that blindly supporting Riot will never do good to League of Legends as a game, especially as a competitive game. If you want League to grow because you love League, then you have to be ready to raise your voice. This path isn't just business, and it's not something that won't affect League of Legends. Even if you don't care about DOTA, HoN and whatnot, remember that competition is healthy for all, as it pushes dev companies to best themselves and offer a better deal and ultimately a better game. Riot is trying to undermine this principle instead of working harder on their title.
This is not acceptable. It's not acceptable for e-sports, it's not acceptable for gamers, it's not acceptable from a business point of view because people are investing a lot into this game, either professionals with their time and careers or individuals who buy content.
As for myself I have been supporting Riot for 2 full years, spending about 1000€ on the game and being extremely enthusiast about it until Riot started to pull off these questionable maneuvers, first with MLG, then with the unnecessary balances on Orianna aimed at low Elo and the absolutely terrible releases aimed to fit a stale metagame that needed change if anything, then this disgusting attempt to damage other titles.
I have completely stopped putting any of my money and time into Riot's game and I will continue to do so until their attitude towards e-sports as well as their own game is brought to a change. I think League of Legends is a fun game that could easily become a major competitor in e-sports, and I think this is insulting to both the potential of the game itself and the community that's supporting it.
Riot will need to change their policy drastically and stop acting like they can push other titles around with just money. Other titles are giving users more and better content, a completely free hero pool which leads to serious balancing that isn't aimed at boosting sales, constant quality updates on models and features. Riot needs to step their game up and that's the healthiest and best thing the League community should ask for. People really need to fight for this so that this potentially great game doesn't get destroyed by greed.
That is all.
