My post isn't about anyone else's name, it's about mine. And no one asked me to change my name, they changed it. No one in game told me "hey your name is offensive," not once, not ever. Whether or not you think it was a good name is irrelevant; it was the name I picked and played with for over a year and it hasn't been explained by Riot why it was changed or that it was a justified change.

No one from Riot has told me that my name was offensive, but the support specialist told me that it didn't matter whether or not it was offensive because of the EULA; sure, that's technically true, they can do whatever they want to my name while ignoring my objections and their own rules.

I also don't have to accept the change as legitimate and can continue to ask for someone in Riot to do the right thing and give me my name back, as I will continue to do until it happens or I eventually move on from the game to something else.

I would have thought I would have at least received a response by now even if it wasn't a positive one.

No, he said I could appeal it through forums but inside the support system it is not able to be appealed, so this is me appealing it through forums, to which there has been no response.

(There have been people whose names were changed previously and who had their name change reversed, it was through forums and not through support system, so this is my attempt at doing the same.)

Thanks for the support, most everyone has been supportive so far and not a single person has said they actually find my name offensive. Wish this thread was somewhere that Reds actually look instead of the Help & Support section. This is basically only used for technical support and that's all they respond to here so I really wish the mod hadn't moved it randomly.

Considering this thread shows he still has a temp name, not sure what happened. Either way, I feel that Riot may have seen a couple reports on your name and suddenly thought about legality of the usage of a terrorist name. Regardless of the context, I assume HitlerisDead would suffer the same fate, since Riot would want nothing to do with terrorism, even if it's factual or deriding terrorism. Public image can cause some pretty backwards thinking.
