Why are borders even shown in Dominion?

Shouldn't they be specific to the mode they were earned in?

Since there are no borders currently achievable in Dominion, there shouldn't be any real reason to stop them from showing.

Check the red tracker, the solo queue border appearing everywhere had been reported and acknowledged, and passed on to Yegg.

I too found this very silly. There was a gold bordered player playing elise, went 2/8, had nashor tooth and thornmail, and yelled at people trying to give advice calling them unranked noobs and he was gold ranked.

I can respect anybody whose border is now DIAMONDS but yeah it doesn't mean they're any better or worse in dominion.
