Don't get me wrong, I play dominion too. It's great for farming IP really fast, games are short and there's almost no difference in the IP that you are gonna gain whether you lost or win.
I'm just trying to seek answers for this age old question for Lol players until I ran in to some thread.

I think this is the reason why. Typical prize pot for Dominion tournaments are:

1st prize: $25.00 whooooshhhh......
2nd prize: $15.00 sighs......
3rd prize: $10.00 wow....
4th prize: a handshake with a lil pat in the back

Going all through the hassle signing up for a Dominion tournament and looking for a team which may take days ------- PRICELESS..........

Only Donkey Kong style maps will work with League of Legends.

There must be a strategic element to the map.

Nah, ARAM took up the mantle of the fast paced slaughter-fest that Dominion kind of was. Dominion's strategy is amusing every so-often for a time killer, but the main offerings it has are better served by ARAM on the bridge.

I just hope some rich guy would miraculously sponsor dominion tournaments out there and set better prize pot other than the typical 1st prize : $25. Might as well sell lemonade then...
