So.... im new to the game.... lvl 6 at about 48 total bot game hours.....
I picked up Garen because thats who i did the tutorial with.
I would like to keep using him until i can decide on a champion that I want to play regularly, so I have been trying different combinations of Runes, Masteries, Spells, and items to work on different play styles....
After playing around a little I think Ive found a good build to tweak.

I only have 7 mastery points and they are as follows:
Red
3 Brute Force
Green
3 Good Hands
1 Improved Recall
By 30 I would like to have:
Red
3 Brute Force
1 Butcher or Summoner's Wrath
4 Aclarity
4 Sorcery
4 Deadliness
1 Weapon Expertiese
1 Lethality
Green
3 Good Hands
1 Improved Recall
4 Swiftness
4 Greed

Im trying to max attack speed with all rune spots... With 7 spots (3r 2y 2b) im at +4%...

Skills:
If they have a more magic people I get the Q skill first then E then W then R. I max out W, E, and R first the Q for the last few levels.
If they have more melee, I switch Q and E for the first two levels and keep the rest the same.

I like playing Garen as a pusher and faux-assassin.
The fast attack and high crit cut creeps like butter as well as deal a fair amount of damage to enemy champions. I can either
The big questions are:
1. Is this a viable strategy?
2. Is there something else I should be doing with Garen?
3. Is there a better champion for what I am trying to do?
