What if the other team has no physical damage. That thornmail means almost nothing. You have to build him vs what your playing. General your gonna have at LEAST 1 physical damage dealer. But unless he is there carry, a thornmail is not viable.

Seriously though, Rammus is about average imo. He can jungle pretty well at early levels if you stack ball-curl and he's a really deadly ganker at lvl 4 with blue+red (not shaco-caliber or anything, but who is?). Other than that, he's pretty good at soaking damage with ball curl up, can dish out A LOT of damage with tremors (seriously, it's like crowstorm caliber), and has one decent CC move that has a pretty short cooldown. Overall, his jungling capabilities are oushined by Amumu, as are his CC capabilities, and Garen tends to be able to soak damage better than he can, but he's ok.
