This was a decision made very early on due to the small size of the map. Even on live TT, there were choke points that allowed you to cover a good bit of ground. We have to be very careful with vision; too much and you'll never get a kill, too little and you'll always die. We tried to solve this with strategic brush placement (no tri-brush and less "path-blocking" brush), some terrain changes (thickened walls that prevents flash 'n' dash from giving an insurmountable mobility advantage, widened lanes, etc.), and added Hextech Sweeper and Soulsight Lantern to offset the lack of vision (there's a reason why they're in almost everyone's recommended!).

Now granted, this is still going to be a paradigm shift for players. It'll force you to stay on your toes and be mindful of where your opponents are, and that's just going to be a big part of how this map will play. With the altars, we're going to be tuning them out. So if you have further feedback about them, why you like or dislike them, definitely speak your mind. All feedback is good (especially negative), as they've been in flux for quite a while, and I anticipate that by the time we leave beta, they'll be quite different than how they are now. The starting gold is also something that we put in very early on, tested well, and we kept. Along with the new items, it's a big part of what will help even out the class balance on the map--and even though tanky DPS are still very strong, if not the strongest, we've found that small gold manipulations can change things drastically. For quite a long time during testing, ranged AD were unstoppable! The good news is that all the triggers for balance are here and easy to access for our designers, so it's up to us (the players and Riot) to figure it out
