Is Hextech Sweeter now completely redundant as an item? Blackfire Torch seems to do more and it looks like a smarter buy gold-wise.

How is movement speed and the scouting/revealing active redundant?

Like....where are you seeing these functions on Blackfire torch?

The sweeper is the better of the two items because of the +10% movespeed. While the Blackfire Torch passive looks good on paper, on most casters with 0.8 ap ratios or higher, it is worth only around 40-50 ap. Good but not a replacement for deathcap and sure as hell not a replacement for the old DFG.

But on champions with **** ap ratios....Blackfire could be really interesting.

Buy both.
You get a decent amount of health, AP and cooldown reductions.

I will miss the old passive.

Blackfire Torch:
70 AP, 20 Magic Pen, 15% CDR, 350ish Health, spells deal 5% of the targets max health over 3ish seconds (reduced for AoEs)

Builds out of Kages and Haunting Guise.

It's definitely a strong item.

BFT into Wooglets for me. Hextech is still super niche.

Sweeper is not niche...at all. It's a very awesome item to have for almost all AP champions. I liked the current one more though.

There are better items to build early and to fill item slots.
