It's just that there isn't a lot of material to go on. Other than the AMAs, all we can do is speculate, and while that's fun, it can be frustrating because in the end, there's just too little material to go on. Judgements were good; they gave a depth to the character's backstory (see Lux). JoJ were fun too as they also gave the champs and the world character. However, the new Shadow Realm stuff does show that they're trying to bring new things to the lore, however controversial the lore remakes may be. I

Also Rengar joined the league to hunt Kha'zix, but why the hell did Kha'zix join. Why did Elise join? Why did Zyra Join?

Jayce Joined to represent Piltover. Draven joined to show off. Darius to represent noxus. Varus revenge. Hecarim reasons are at least stated as unknown. Lulu to belong.

Everyone past zyra has little or no reason to join. Lore has been falling apart since the JoJs are gone and that is pretty lame.
