How viable is malzahar in 3's?

Actually very good. His ult works better with less champs around to stop suppression.

I'd imagine he's pretty good. Push lane, gank, repeat. Also what Mogs01gt said about there being fewer champions to interrupt his ultimate. That and there are more closed in spaces for his pool to really mess people up.

Think of how terrible he is in SR. He's worse in threes.

Hi ive been playing alot of malzahar recently and ive been playing 3's alot too, Im plat in the new 3's and old one. Malz has several strong advantages in 3's since he has incredible dps for a mage, mostly due his aoe spells, bouncing dot, and his bugs which hit really hard for a passive. the ability to 100 to 0 someone is really threatening on 3's too if you use it right. Now for malz down sides.........hes really really weak at low levels, he has no escapes, he has no relevant cc for surviving ganks in most situations, and hes kit inherently pushes his lane making him more gankable. Id say hes a strong teir 3 if hes in a lane he counters and there team is lacking hard cc to break his ult id say hes very viable.

I play a ton Malzahar in 3v3s, I f you're new to him, be prepare to get owned in the face by brusiers for severl games. I can't tell you how, but try to be safe/passive. I'm always running around casting my spells an being super agressive, but you have to be careful you don't put yourself in a spot where you can't run away. Malz has no movement CC(excpt ult) so trying to run away from champs like singed is going to be a pain in the butt.

As for ulting, save it for ganks or when you and the taget have some breathing room. Just because when you ult, you're showing a "Darius ult my face" sign. You're silence wall, anti health pool and vision spells will be enough.

Just like most of the heroes in TT. Pretty good, until you meet Darius/Singed/Jax.

Basically the same as he is in 5s. Terrible blind pick, solid if you know what you're picking him into.
