If you follow a flow chart the enemy is going to know exactly what you are doing.

Isn't it always best to make a play for their mid while they gank bottom to take advantage of the fact that they have less resources available there?

you take mid when they are dead and when they can't respawn in time, while keeping an eye on their spawn timer in case they revive

There is very 'always' in dominion.

A good time to make a play for middle is when top is a tough nut to crack and they have all 4 of the champions there. Ideally you have a very mobile champion continue to harrass top, one capping mid and the other two in the jungle positioned and ready to act based on how the enemy team reacts.

Also when you are going for a 5 cap
