Riot,

In a recent Tribunal case, I have a question about the outcome of the case.

The reported player had three games listed, the first two I completely agree that they were bogus / WAY too over sensitive complaints of language, etc. But the third case, the person was offering to trade honor for the enemy team to report another player on his team.

How can this be acceptable in any way, shape, or form?

It's possible that people weren't thorough enough in their review, or simply didn't think that it warrants a punish by itself.

The former is most likely the reason.

I took some time to review the case. In game 1 he makes some statements at Cho meant to hurt his feelings and you continued to make statements over and over. Then he called team mates aweful and noobs. Basically he trolled everyone on the game. If you make a statement meant to hurt someones feelings then you have broken the summoners code. Having said all of that, if the person was pardoned then the Tribunal is working as intended. Because the Tribunal was created to give players a second chance and to be more lenient than if the cases were dealt with directly by Riot. Do not worry if this person got away with it this one time, and does not correct the behavior they will not fall through the cracks again.

I guess you may have a point there. All in all though, given the tone of what usually goes on in these games, I didn't think the first two games were all THAT bad. Yeah, perhaps the intentions were not good, but I am far more likely to let someone off that made a few negative comments rather than someone who is raging and constantly spewing vulgarities.

Do I swear? Absolutely. Do I get pissed during matches? Most definitely. But I also try and keep it out of the game. (Like everyone, sometimes I fail)

Specifically my point of contention is the person offering to trade honor votes for report votes. Trading honor is explicitly forbidden and we are encouraged to report it as "Spamming" if I recall from the honor announcement.

So I fail to see why this person is let off for very clearly doing that exact thing. Whether it was to trade honor for honor, or honor for something else is not relevant.
