Zephyr seems like an alright concept but 20 AD late game is negligible and the AS is quite high. I think lowering the AS in exchange for slightly more AD would be a good change because a lot of the champs that could want this would want more AD and less AS
AD to 30 from 20
AS to 40 from 50
CDR to 15% from 10%
Change the Longsword to a Pickaxe.
Would this not make Zephyr a more broad items while not being super good on carries with the 10% ms and the high AS bonus. Right now on most heroes that want tenacity I'd just stick with Merc's but with this change it would be more solid.

The idea behind Zephyr is to make it a competitor for the PD spot, not to fill another AD item.

Zephyr is more of a Phantom Dancer contender than it is a general AD champion item. You'll pick Zephyr over Phantom Dancer if you want generally better stats (and tenacity, which is a huge bonus) and you'll pick Phantom Dancer if you want the higher crit rate.

Zephyr is a bruiser item. You shouldn't be getting this on an AD carry.

Try picking it up on Jayce or Xin some time.

Thats right, none. You cant simply give up the crit on the PD for a little CDR/tenacity, this item can work on some bruisers but if it was designed to be one of the pd replacement options then it definitely failed its job.

You can say that Shiv is a choice to replace PD, but it gives overall less stats for the passive proc, which is something that most of carries could care less as they need the most item slot efficiency they can get.

Buy Zephyr if you need auto attack damage, but not crit. Seems like a good combo with Hurricane/SotD.

Zephyr gives AD, more MS, tenacity, and CDR while PD effectively got nerfed across the board. It's at least a solid item, even if it isn't on the exponential level of PD.

Except it will never do that without crit chance. Somebody math could do the numbers but PD is way better for right click heroes especially the way it scales with IE.

Except the stats on Zephyr aren't good enough to warrant me getting it over mercs. If it gave more AD and CDR less AS then it could be used in conjunction with Zerks to gain the extra AS if you need it or whatever other boots. Like I look at it and think it's a cool item but it's just not got the right stats I need. As it is I'd rather go straight mercs and spend that 3k on something more stable.

It's a trade off, you chose AS+MS+Crit+No uUnit Collision or AS+MS+AD+Tenacity

Also, there are champions that can delay crit in favor of more AD and other stats, like Graves and Draven.
