I'm not talking to the reform cards, the ragers, the AFKer's, or the trolls.

I am talking to everyone else on this forum. The "helpers."

The sarcasm needs to stop. People come to this forum confused and feeling cheated, and they are greeted by waves of people insulting them and bringing them down.

"It doesn't matter if you were the worst person in the game, you can still be punished for breaking the summoners code."

Bring that into the forums. Don't insult some one right away, don't be sarcastic, don't expect the worst. You should answer every reform card with kindness. I think some of us should go review the summoner's code and bring it into this forum.

Always give people the benefit of the doubt. Let them surprise you. I know how much you guys hate ragers and "toxic" players, cause I hate it too. Don't be toxic back to them, be the relief.

A smile, even on forums, goes a long way

EDIT:

Sorry, I painted too wide a brush, because this is not true for every one. Just a lot of posts I see in response to questions end up being negative. There are many who are helpful and kind.

EDIT 2:

Also, I need to say that I too am guilty of this kind of negative reaction. Now I try to be constantly positive.

when someone gets banned 7 times and still refuse to change their behavior, I think a little of sarcasm is the least they can get.

I tried that, for months. It still ended up with them going STRAIGHT to insulting me.

I do agree, though some times the sarcasm is warranted I would post a relevant link but I don't think that it really contributes much to this thread to do so.

Everyone who comes here in a respectful manner should be treated with respect though.

Every now and then I think the people who are 'confused' and the like that come here for reasoning are met with not the best attitude.

However, I have found that the vast majority of the time the post goes like this

OP: Why am I banned. Help pls
2-4 People offer insight, suggestions, et cetera
OP: Can I get a red? these people are just butthurt and oversensitive.
Same people and a couple others reiterate the reasoning behind the ban, in a constructive manner.
OP: Stfu **** there is a profanity filter and I spent 100 dollars I will sue Riot **** *** *** **. Now I will smurf and be 10xs worst &*****

Then it spirals from there. Most people are banned, then get explained why they were banned, then rage at the people that took the time to talk with them and help.

I agree that you do have a good point. Some of the 'pro-tribunal' people here can be just as bad as the 'anti-tribunal' people. I do wish that others who were looking over cases and explaining to people why they did deserve their ban would be a little more polite about it.

I try to be as helpful as I can when I do come on here. Though I have been guilty of getting a little aggressive at people here before, it is generally when that person refuses to believe or understand the explanations they are given by those who are helping. I don't have a whole lot of tolerance for blind stubbornness...

"Though I have been guilty of getting a little aggressive at people here before"

Yes! I would like to admit right away that I am very guilty of this too. In fact, my own realization of this is why I decided to post this. I saw it in myself and then I saw it in almost every post.

However, if you look right now over several posts, you will see honest questions and humility by the OP. Especially after being treated with a little respect.

Just because some one has bad behavior doesn't mean you get to have bad behavior too.

Thank you for your honesty all, and I bring on the down votes.

I just don't understand, the people who are in here would punish people regardless of how their team mates acted in a game, but think it is okay to insult people because they raged?

They might, but is that an excuse to insult them back? In game, if some one insults you, is that an excuse to insult them back? why are the forums any different?

The problem, is that if you come to the tribunal regularly, you notice there is a standard rubric for threads made by punished players

The first post says they are innocent, or the tribunal is corrupt, or that premade control everything, or that everyone votes punish, etc etc.

Subsequent posts request reform cards, or proof of claims.

The OP responds either with zero evidence of their claims, or with a report card that doesn't match with their original complaints.

People point this out

The OP and others argue semantics IE: "Yes i called him a lot of racial slurs, but that game only had one report, and that was the only game there, it shouldn't have been in the tribunal anyways"

After a while it gets tiring. The last time I saw an anti-tribunal thread, that had solid evidence in the first post to support its complaints, was either never, or so long ago that i can't even remember. So the core issue, more or less, is that there are two userbases in the forums, the first is a high-turnover group with a TON of junkposts. The second stays a lot longer, but becomes ground down and jaded by the first group. Thus new members of group one must pay for the sins of old members of group one, and new members of group two get quickly worn down by new members of group one.
