3rd Party Punish.

We've all seen cases where the accused is rightfully reported for breaking the Summoner's Code but also notice that there are other people in the game who are being just as bad - if not worse - than the reported player.

Many times I've seen other players in the game spamming 'All' chat with derogatory remarks or calling people racist garbage; and I'm not certain they're being reported for it.

Why not include a 3rd option that escalates a case to include behaviour exhibited by other players apart from the reported person? That way Riot employees could also see whether someone was also purposefully instigating the reported person into that behaviour and also receive a penalty for that too, as an example.

I agree with it, but from a programmer's standpoint it wouldn't be simple. Adding a flag for the case to have it reviewed for 3rd party behavior is a quick fix, but then you have to implement a new system to accept and present that flag, check for other flags like it from that person, build a case based on that...

I see where you're coming from on that. Perhaps it could be a Majority/Minority system like the actual bannings are, where if the majority votes for escalation of 3rd Party it goes on?

Or would that just be more work ?

I've had several cases today where I wanted to Punish someone other then the reported player.

However, odds are, players like that are going to be reported, if not in that game, then in other games. If it's so bad that you wish you could Punish them, other people do too. Not only will they get reported, they will get reported alot. And you've already seen that their chat for just the one game you managed to see was Punish worthy - so it will be again.

The Tribunal will find them and take care of them. If not, well then, that means they were just having a bad game, or decided to reform without Tribunal intervention, and in either case, they don't need to be Punished anymore. But that's probably not the case, and either way Justice is served.

Ok so there are 2 things to look at here. Was the reported player instigated, and can we report that player. Riot has already said many times that being instigated doesn't justify someone to break the rules themselves and retaliate, otherwise players could lash back at the slightest remark and justify it under this reasoning. The 2nd part has already also been declined. How do you know that instigator doesn't already have a tribunal case, or even one that has already resulted in a punish? If there are toxic players apart from the one reported, there is a high chance they will also have a tribunal case or will eventually.
