And I don't understand why everyone says Diana needs nerfed to the ground, she only had a 50% win rate when she was picked.

However here's a few interesting facts. Evelynn got banned out 17 times, but when she got picked up she was 8/8. She had the highest ban percentage out of all the 100% win rate champs.

Ezreal was never banned out. Not once. But he saw play in 64% of the games played at IPL5.

Karma got banned.

Season 3 will definitely shake things up.

Win rate doesn't always tell the whole story. A champion being a "must pick or ban" is the issue as it shows the champion has large enough advantages of other champions to feel like you HAVE to take it or ban it out every game.

She's been near 100% pick or ban in every tournament over the last month.

Pick / ban rate doesn't tell the whole story either, by the same token. All it says is a perception of whether the champion is good or not, if anything the win rate is a better indicator *cough 8-0 eve cough*

Bans in tournaments shouldnt affect the meta because only one or two champs get banned for being op in general, most bans are based off what you know players on the other team are good at. The reason diana was so banned is because most mid players in professional play have been practicing her because she hard counters katarina. The reason she underperformed so much is ebcause pro teams know how to deal with her. Back at i believe IPL 4 or IPL faceoff, shyvana was the most played jungler and steamrolled games, winning most of them, she didnt get touched in ANY patches.

Look at Jayce's tournament stats... his highest pick was 12 times during the S2 World Championships with a record of 7-5. Never had more than a 2 win/lost difference in any big tournaments around the world. Still got nerfed, and now no one plays him... He was picked 3 times with the record of 1-2 in IPL5.

Diana was ban or pick in IPL5.

Win rate isn't really incredibly important, what tells people what they need to know is the sheer amount of bans and picks she had. That, combined with the fact that most people already recognized that she's problematic.

I think Ezreal had a pretty mediocre win rate at the world championship, that didn't really change that he was broken as all hell. Or picked damn near every single game.

We've established before that win rate does not define a champions strength. Look at alistar. Has a 43% win rate yet is commonly banned and is widely acknowledged to be a strong champion.

Shaco has one of the highest win rates in the whole game in ranked, and I doubt ANYBODY with any shred of intelligence would tell you he's OP.

Win rates can only be used to generalize, and even then they're often wrong.
