A gentle smile on her lips,
"Anytime you want to learn... Come again."
With that the remaining bones in her body would be shattered, her spine obliterated by the roots crushing it. Zyra looked at the gremlin. Best to make sure. Vines bore their way into her what was once her skull and ripped it from the body.
"Well... I guess they won't mind if I consume the body..."

As the pain neared its peak, the clarity that her name had been providing faded and her fear reached a fever pitch. She needed something, anything, to avoid getting swept away by the seemingly unending agony, to keep enough of herself. Stretching out, she latched on to a name that was almost as familiar as her own, that of the gremlin with whom she was assigned to research love-Rex. She murmured his name over and over to herself, only dully aware of the pinching in the nerves around her spine and the pain finally reaching its height.
When her head was lifted and her eyes forced open, Zyra would notice that the eyes seemed almost vacant, just a flicker within, and that the mouth was set somewhere between a pained grimace and a slight smile. Even as she was, Tex felt and saw the gentle smile she was given, and heard Zyra's invitation. In response, she sent a last, flickering thought, closing the connection as quickly as she'd opened it.
"Thank...you."
And then the pain of this death ended, and the pain of its aftermath began.
