Why doesn't Riot implement "safe to leave"

because it would snowballing leaving even more. i dont want my games to not be counted just cause 1 idiot decided to afk for 5 mins.
what if the dude reconnects after 7 mins and then he finds out the game is over.

2. game not going well - make smurf leave
3. Safe to leave
4. Main doesnt lose elo

but then again, if your loss is inevitable because of a leaver, i guess this system would be good

It would only be safe to leave in the first minutes of the game if its already late game or mid game the game would still go on regardless of afking or not.

If you afk for 7 whole minutes at the start you already lost your lane and you wont get back into the game unless your team is steamrolling the other like I said the matchmaking system screwed up.

Again this is too avoid 4v5 where people dont connect at all.

For justice i should say, dota has no surrender feature. so how it works. In lol you can surrender. It is team decision. While in dota even if team has chance one leaves, then other and so on. In lol you have choice - if team think they can win game continues reagardles of your personal wish. Thoug there 20 min limitation still.
