Seeing the splash art I wanted the skin right away (it's even my desktop pic atm) but the model looks nothing like the splash. she's so gray/black and dull in her model instead of the vivid green she should be. The lack of gloves/netting also really bothers me. </3
To keep the thread positive for a Riot person to actually post on this thread, I will retract the semi-negative words I said, and simply agree with you. It is a tad lazy, seemingly.

This skin has so much potential its not even funny. Riot could take it as far as Pulsefire Ez if they wanted, it has THAT much potential, but I guess all skins could be taken that far if someone really puts their mind to it. OP hit on a lot of the details that bother me. As I stated earlier her armor color is what turns me away the most. (actual intention is to bump thread in hopes of a Riot response to quell my fears >.>)

It definitely seems unfinished, but I'm not sure how that explains the gray instead of green.
I understand from the discussion on Quinn that the splash artists and the model makers aren't that connected. I wonder if the splash artists go off the models or the other way around. (or different depending on the champ/skin even)

Well, I'm still holding out for a Riot post. If the thread stays positive we may get an answer from one of them and our thoughts are more likely to be heard ^^ so ~

I was going to cry (Not kidding) The Splash art shows this sexy dark green, but it's actullay gray. Like many skins, the splash-art looks nothing like it (Even some Character Arts). Though I do like how it looks when she changes to Cougar or vice versa.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Hopefully we can get a red response.

It seems like one side of the art team went for a copy paste of Rengar's style and the splash artist(s) wanted to bring out something a little more unique.

If these details aren't addressed I'd actually love to see a separate skin that stays true to this splash. It really seems different enough to me.

Splash art I admit is absolutely amazing!

This has also happened with the new champs, like Vi and her gloves comparing to splash and in-game. As they don't have much detail in comparison to the splash. I understand poly count and players wanting the FPS to be at a nice smooth rate, but most of the things missing is a texture job.

Also, I think the green is just the lighting in the splash art that's why the skin is a plain grey/black. Lighting always makes it look completely off. ;D

Hey guys I know I don't have much for credentials but I'd like to highlight something and maybe bring light to the situation.

The Public Beta Environment is exactly what it states it is, a Beta. Before anything is released it goes through here for speculation and is still pending further adjustment until release. Due to the nature of this, anything related to anything pending is still tentative and is not a finished product. We can only give our feedback (which you guys are, good job!) and wait to see.

I remember a wonderful movie about kangaroos, a movie called Warriors of Virtue, instilled in us is a warrior called Patience, be tide and true summoners, keep on testing and providing your feedback and you'll be pouncing your way to victory with Headhunter Nidalee and her finished splash art soon!

While a lot of people are saying that this is just the Beta environment testing an unfinished skin, I'm going to have to hope along with the rest of you that this is TRULY just unfinished.

I have noticed that on a few of my favorite skin's splash arts the in game version looks completely different.

For example, the "Resistance Caitlyn" skin looks completely different in game when compared with her splash art. One of the main differences is her hair colour which I didn't think would be all that hard of a thing to make the right colour-especially considering is one of the most noticeable things about the skin because you are constantly looking from above her.

I'm going to have to hope along with the rest of you that this skin is unfinished, but I'm not putting all that much stock into that assumption.

I've updated my post with a link to her update.

They made her more green and added a single bead to her hair through re-texture. I still feel like it leaves a lot the be desired, but her armour actually looks a tad more metallic now.
