So they'd receive the gold and items, but still be down a player? That's pretty much the same as just leaving, you're still screwing your team.

if you leave a game you should get penalties, and no ip given back, i know it punishes you for getting stuck with **** team mates but anyone can choose vlad, rock the first 10 minutes and leave with no peanlty with a forgive system.

and im still for having the penalties in ranked games go even higher.

Well leaving leaves you with a huge gap to be filled from the loss of items and another player, but if 50% of the gold and items is given to the team it would almost negate this, and yeah I agree with the idea of a vote kick as well but with vote kick it shouldnt give any items or gold.

A leaver does not necessarily screw your team. It depends on when they left, but it can give a large level advantage.

I've played games where we had an early leaver, and by mid game our team was between level 16 & 18, while the other team was between levels 13 & 15.

More gold and more XP from leavers means an advantage you can sometime lose. Granted if the person leaves mid-to-late game, you're probably screwed.

... but then sometimes you aren't, because the other team thinks that next team fight will be easy and gets careless, then you ace them and quickly finish for the win.

You might as well tell everyone who is new and learning to gtfo. Riot will never implement this because not only will it give the game a bad rep, it will also cause many players to go to a
different game.

As for the solo surrender: I've played so many games where someone on my team wanted to surrender just because we got team wiped a couple times when out team had no team coordination and the other team was playing almost as well as a premade. A lot of times we get our act together, and play as a team and actually end up winning. Other times, the disparity is too great or we never manage to work as a team and lose. The surrender system now is fine, no need to change it.

So basically you want to be able to feed like crazy, give the enemy a huge score boost, and then abandon your team without even taking a loss on your record?

Very easily abused. You don't think trolls will kick players they incorrectly perceive aren't helping the team, or kick people just for the heck of it? It would happen, for certain. =\

Hell no. A vote kick system would be nice. Couple that with harsher leaver penalties and you have yourself a great system with less leavers. Being vote kicked would give you a leave as well, for obvious reasons.

This isn't an excuse for not having one. It would require 8/10 of the players in game to vote successfully. If that many people are voting yes, then the player is obviously a problem.

People don't react well to HoN comparisons here, but whatever, they have replay viewing, griefers and leavers get banned all the time because they have moderators dedicated to watching replays of those players heavily reported and vote kick. It works wonders when a company is actually invested in giving the player base a quality play time.

Assuming the worst possible outcome to make a moot point. People aren't going to get kicked for learning the game when they're in low ELO. They could remove vote kick for levels below 15. Instead of thinking of solutions, you automatically make the worst case scenario and cry about it. This game needs change to survive. People are leaving for other games BECAUSE of the lack of any measures to fight leavers and griefers.
