I've been seeing a lot of tanky teams recently in ranked (fairly low elo mind you) that include some mix of the following:
-Mundo
-Tryndamere
-Garen
-Gragas
-Malphite
-Mordekaiser
-Singed
They're pretty much all building survivability (Warmog's, sunfire, etc)
We usually build some form of synergy team with carry (Trist or MF), tank (Shen or Rammus), support (Jana or Sona if we're lucky), etc. But for some reason, we just can't get things going past mid to late game.
Game usually starts out great. We move ahead in kills with smart play, get 1-2 towers down before they make any real progress on ours. Then once we hit mid-late game, they team push like crazy on whatever tower is lowest. We've tried picking off targets but the health-pool/survivability is just so **** high and it starts to feel like a lost cause. We've had situations where we knew their focus, had a perfect shen port + taunt and good CC to focus one down, but we end up losing 2-3 of our team just getting that 1 tank-dps down.
What's the counter to the tanky team push I've been seeing recently?
