For instance, Heimer is free this week - at the end of the week will you get a report with the % of losses where 1 team had a Heimer and the winning team did not?

Can you look at the items of successful champions and alter the recommended items based on those?

p.s. Warwick needs your love, and I need the grey skin.

We do data mine, but that's actually not a very good thing to analyze. That sort of nuanced balance is much better done by simply watching games, stats tell you if there is a pattern, they dont necessarily tell you the cause.

You mean statistics don't instantly tell you what's wrong with every aspect of the game and it's community? Statistics tell the government those things all the time, maybe you should borrow their machines.

I was really hoping some basic statistics of interest would be made public on the website.

Rank the heros in order of how often they are chosen.
What items are the most common items bought.
Total kills and deaths for each hero.
Total Gold collected for each hero.
Average kills per game for each hero
Average gold collected per game for each hero.
etc

Junk like that - nothing serious to analyze, just something I have often wondered about while playing dota, but which was impossible to collect in Dota.

Any chance that sort of 'junk data' could be made public? Just for fun...?

Nobody likes to play X champion?

Okay let's go watch everybody who plays X champion and see what happens in game...

Oh it's because Y ability is pretty much useless, look, the guy isn't even using it. Okay let's fix Y ability and see what happens.

Or they can also PLAY and find out.

Government looks at numbers and decides something, they don't always know why they do it.

HEY LOOK THE AMERICAN ECONOMY TANKED! I guess those numbers mean something but what was the root cause? Who cares throw more money at it and hope it recovers.

I too would like to see some of this data, though I can see how it might create quite the stir if it were ever released.

Stir what. A general statistic of who has high elo. Or who has the highest elo with certain champion would be nice. Just for general info to see what is what. High tier heroes and low tier heroes(well we know most of em but still).
