Connection Issues (999 ping) new computer

I recently built a new desktop and loaded it with windows 7, just logged in game to play a few matches on my new rig and I am getting horrible connections. I will stay in game for a few seconds and then be forced out due to the connection.

Funny thing is, this is a unique problem, team fortress 2 works fine, and general internet access is not slow either.

I made sure it's an allowed program in windows firewall...not sure what else I can try. Any ideas?

Yeah my latency is also 999 and my internet is just fine, runs any other game but LoL fine.
I struggle to play aswell.
I get messages saying "You have been disconnected, would you like to reconnect"
Rather annoying.

What operating system are you running?

Or, is there anything else unique about your computer? Obviously we have the same problem...now just determining what is the same for both of us that is causing it.
