Just for note, the way i meant to be this part is to grayout ONLY when the champion is dead, and show the portrait normally when the champion is alive but with no numbers of health/mana when it isn't in YOUR vision range (not allies vision range). So, if you want to check the position of an enemy champion that isn't in YOUR vision range and know his health/mana you HAVE TO look the minimap or go and see directly moving the camera.

It's your point of view, valid like everyone's. Personally i think that is a nice feature that most RTS&RPG&Related games should implement (my point of view as a deskmod fan ^^ )

- To see enemy buffs & items I would really like it if you could use a modifier key on a hover over. IE - Hold Cntrl + Shift - Hover over an enemy and I get an overlay in the middle of the screen that's fairly transparent that shows me all the pertinent information about that enemy. This would save a lot of space by not needing a giant UI block some where for enemy buffs. Let go of Cntrl + Shfit and the overlay dissappears.

100% agree, indeed i was working in a mockup showing the second idea. It would be awesome to hold ALT (an example) and pass the cursor over a enemy to see a tooltip-like box with the information that now is shown in the bar on top of the screen (health, mana, lvl, items)
