Are we allowed to use accent marks for our summoner names?

i was trying to use:
§ and ¡
but i am not sure what its trying to tell me. it keeps saying that my names is taken but then i put in some random numbers and letters and it still says your name is taken. is it because i have the accent marks in it?

Probably. Generally it's a pretty supid idea. People won't be able to add you to games because they can't spell your name, etc. I know some people that have managed to get some strange charachters in their names and believe me... bad idea.

I don't like accent marks because they'd make it really hard to ignore someone in game. Is there any particular reason you want to use an accent mark or two?
