A major major part of the success of World of Warcraft (yes totally different game but still) and DotA was that the creators actually cared about the forum and what the community has said.

the new eve skin is going to be reworked because of the large negative replies from members

every champ that was ever nerfed into tier 5 was one that the community complained about alot.

Lux's art.. alot of complaints about that got her changed immediately.
