Hey, I released my update for the guide just for you. I also added big pictures of Merc Treads because I clearly typed it in my build before, but you just glanced at it and cut to conclusions.

let's be honest. pro's dont read guides. im not a pro but i dont even read guides for champs. i have a rough understanding of all champs in the game and i can build them accordingly.
jungle champ? cloth armour x 5
ranged carry? infinity edge
spammable spells? sheen
of course there are exceptions (manamune on corki)

what im trying to say is most people understand champs well enough to not need guides. the people who are uninformed are the ones looking at guides. votes come from bads who think i just did XXX with this build. some get high ratings but you also get the Ashes who are lifesteal/no IE ashes getting 92%

Mobafire to me is a place to join a thriving community and a way to share your way to play a champion. My builds always include situational items, and I either test them a lot in normals, and ranked. Also, I welcome every comment with an open mind.

My elo is 1579. Not amazing, but not terrible. As stated above, the average player is under 1200 correct? Well Mobafire is open to the community, and most of the time, there will be trash builds that show up here and there, but you've got to look past some of the bad and ridiculous ideas to find the truly good guides. I know you can always use Solomid for guides, but those are the guides on high-elo games. Most of them are fantastic on getting to a high-elo, and staying there, but in mid-elo, the style of the players consistently change, unlike the high-elo players. Just being honest, most of the high-elo players I see are the same people over and over again. In mid-elo, you have a different variety of players.

Most of guides on Mobafire are around mid-elo. There are some for high-elo, but generally, mid. Who's guide will you trust more getting past the mid-elo part of ranked at least. A person currently IN the area, or a high-level player that has been at the top for so long, they can't really tell you how most players in mid-elo currently play. I've been in mid-elo for a while. The aggressiveness/passiveness of players consistently change. If you're in high-elo, you shouldnt really need a guide do ya? . Also, if you think you don't need guides, you could be wrong. Looking at a large amount of guides and seeing people's playstyles can inspire you to try to improve your game. EVERYONE has something to improve on

TL;DR - You could use a high-elo person's guide, but they've been at the top of the pile for so long, most don't keep up with how mid-elo players are. The mid-elo bracket always get different type of players whether they are very aggressive or very passive/farm-y. Mobafire is great for help in the mid-elo range. Most guides are from players in the mid-elo range, but there are some very bad guides. Just look past the bad ones and take grasp of the great ones.

I understand, some guides will get a rating they don't deserve at times, but oh well. Just look past some bad guides and find the ones that are good!

Basically, all i have to say. If you think you don't need guides, you could be wrong. Looking at a large amount of guides and seeing people's playstyles can inspire you to try to improve your game. EVERYONE has something to improve on, regardless if you're a pro or baddie. Inspiration/curiosity can do wonders.

What i can see here, is that accualy ppl posting here are more or less good players already. Many ppl that look at either MOBAFire or LeagueCraft are still new to this game and look for some help from more expirienced players.

MOBAFire used to be a den for those ppl since LC promoted "ultra-competitive-guides-wannabe" for those "top ELO players"
Moba got alot of changes, when i started there, it was filled with 99% spam. Nowdays it still has alot of smaller guides that are not fit for "top ELO players" but it has alot of very indepth guides for those too. MOBAFire is more user-friendly, it supports "builds for friends" and "idea builds".
LeagueCraft tho' has more stable and bigger forum community.

As i am a MOBAFire user, i still tend to visit both sites when i look for a build/guide. Not to follow it blidnly but in search of ideas. For me more sites = better. So lets just call it synergy. MOBAFire and LeagueCraft are a great example of that.

And lets consider that ppl... NONE of those top players will ever use a guide or build from a website. They will create their own way of playing a champ. So what is the deal?

Note: I use both leaguecraft and mobafire. I'm active on both sites, with this said let me lay down some thoughts.

Number One: Mobafire is a hell of a lot easier to read. Most Leaguecraft builds are a wall of text. Mobafire is a lot easier to glance through, more readable. I mean you can look at the top of the page and get a feel for the quality of the guide instantly by seeing summoner spells selected, skill sequence, masteries, and of course items.

Number Two: Both sites have great guides as well as crappy guides. I can easily link crappy guides from both sites that are highly rated. Its the people that make the guides good, NOT THE SITE. Their are great theory crafters of both sites.

Number Three: Its nice to have both, its nice to have different places to look for infomation. It also makes both sites try hard because they are completing rather they like it or not. Rather they know it or not as well.
