LoL is fairly different from an MMO (MMORPG is the same thing as an MMO by the way, just with RPG aspects, obviously). MMOs are games where, like the name suggests, you play with a massive amount of players online, LoL's closer to Starcraft than it is to Old Republic in that regard.
