There's no audio or graphical feedback when an item is bought.
I think this is really necessary for the final game.

Good call!

I've accidently double-purchased items before. I don't know that having a sound would help my click-happy tendencies, but it certainly couldn't hurt.

Yeah, the game must have this. I also double purchase stuff by accident at least once a day.

Also maybe a little graphic? Anyone played Final Fantasy X? You could have a little circle ping around the item like FFX did when you activated a node on the sphere grid?

This is why having the shopkeeper talk would be more useful because he could tell you when you purchase something. Plus it would be more entertaining.
