REALITY CHECK

I wouldn't expect to see a new champ at anything less than 4800 again, unless Riot just feels like throwing us a bone, because people are buying them, and the market dictates price. Every game I played since her release had at least 1 Vayne, and most of them had 2.

Many people here fail to realize that the vocal minority on the forums represents a teeny tiny portion of the player base (for a splash of cold water, consider the 1000+ people that upvoted this thread represent less than 1% of 1% of the total number of LoL accounts). A handful of kids that cry about pricing will not indicate to Riot that their prices are too high or that their player base is unhappy. When / if their player base starts to shrink, and their sales start to decrease, those are the indicators that they need to rethink their pricing models.

Since only Riot has access to the exact numbers on player base and sales, only they truly know the answers to those questions. Anything posed by posters on the forums is nothing more than idle and uninformed speculation. Getting angry at a company for trying to make money is silly. Thats the reason they exist, Riot is not a charity here to feed your gaming fix. They exist to make money. Period.

Welcome to the real world kids.

*EDIT* Nice work OP linking right to this in the original post, as, all modesty aside, it is the single most relevant thing posted in the entire thread, and despite it being on page 19 you made sure everyone read it.

*EDIT #2* Bad work removing the link OP. Shame on you not wanting people to see the truth. Tsk tsk.

OP HERE.

Replying the same garbage to the majority of you is getting to be too troublesome. Obviously you are too busy being ignorant to realize how badly Riot is treating you as customers. It doesnt matter if I have to work for something in a free to play game, and it doesnt matter if I have to put in real money to buy something I want as it supports the company. What DOES matter though is that said company is now becoming greedy with champions. Every two weeks they release another champion with the same price tag that allows them to charge the insane amount of RP that they do. Its only $5 right? Sure, but think about iTunes in that the "its only $1" mindset really adds up and starts to gouge your pockets.

All I am really trying to say by making this post is to open your eyes and stop being sheep. You deserve a break as much as I do when it comes to overpriced champions. Riot even said they would release champions in different price ranges, promised us tons of features which would obviously be made with the money you support them with, but they have lied to you...Should you not be a little bit angry? Or are you just going to feed them because of your own incompetence? New servers to handle patch day loads? Nope. Where the hell does your money actually go, or when will this stupidity end?

Anyways, I'm done replying for now so this will be a farewell for most. I will keep reading my thread, but dont expect a stream of replies. If my thread being #1 currently and upvoted over 600 doesnt make you realize how much fact is actually behind my argument, then it is hopeless to try and convince you.

Ive spent WAY more money on skins then I have on champs. Im sure a LOT of people have done the same.
"A lot of people" or "A substantial percentage of paying League of LEgends players"? Because there's a difference there, and the second value is what's important.

Its not as if champs are the only way RIOT has to make money.
And it's not as though we have any idea what their sources of income are or how much of it is skins/champs.

I play 10-15 games a week. Thats plenty. If you think it isnt, clearly you dont have a real life. Those of us who do, cant devote 7 hours a day to gaming.
I go to school full time and work part time. There's nothing wrong with how much you play, I think I only manage maybe 15-20 games a week myself. The difference between us isn't how much we play, it's how much we think we're entitled to. I'm not content because I play 20 games a day. I'm content because I didn't buy Rumble, Brand, Nocturne, Lee Sin or Jarvan because I didn't really want them, and now I not only do I have enough to buy Vayne, but I have 5900 IP left over for whatever I want next.

How can I possibly complain about that? How I can I possibly understand other people who want to play as little as I do, but think they should earn 3 times as much content, and for free, no less?

Quote:
Mine, other people, all of us. Yes RIOT has bills to. Perhaps you dont pay attention to how well they are doing. Your argument is rather ridiculous as they can EASILY afford to NOT put every champ at 6300 IP.
Um wha? They are doing super well I'm sure in large part because they have an excellent pricing structure. Keep in mind, if they were REALLY selling things for too much, that would hurt their profits as well. So saying 'they are doing well they can afford to cut prices' doesn't make sense. They're doing well because their prices are ideal. You think they should strive to do less well because somebody cried on the forums?

Quote:
If they were hurting, or champions were their only source of income, you may have a point.
Companies do not have an obligation to be 'hurting' or just barely getting by. You don't have a legitimate grievance on somebody just because they are doing well. They are a brand new company that is obviously looking to expand. They need a huge profit in order to expand LoL, and/or to do something OTHER than LoL at some point.

6300 IP in 2-3 days. Average of 100 IP per win (nowhere actually close to that but I will humor you kid). Average of 35 minutes per game.

6300/100 = 63

63 x 35 minutes = 2205
What? I said Riot CAN'T afford to charge prices people can farm in 2-3 days, so obviously I wasn't talking about 6300, jerk off.

Quote:
I mean come on kid. Do you honestly think releasing every champ at 6300 IP is whats keeping them in business?
I think they're doing it, I think their aspirations should be a little higher than 'staying in business', and I think you just admitted that what they're doing is working very well for them.

So unless you have a crystal ball or can read tea leaves, yes, I'd say the evidence points to this current pricing structure being the best one for them.

Anything else, genius?

EDIT: Actually, I don't care if you have anything else to say. The OP just cried off to momma. Time to happily let the thread die.

Dude never did answer my question as to why he just HAD to HAVE every new champion on the day of release.

Clearly, he was either just a spoiled kid, or a troll. Either way, thread done.

Maybe don't create a whiny-assed qq thread on the league of legend forums next time if you can't handle it. What the hell did you expect to get in exchange for your crying?

You don't need every new champion the day it comes out. If you want them, buy RP.

It's marketing. It's not a hard concept to understand.

then you wouldn't have a ****ing game to play since their a god **** business. you think they just have this game for the lulz and waste their money on it?
