I started playing LoL and its a really addicting, fun, and a great game. I can honestly play this for years but there's only one thing really from making me continue to play this game and not put my time into another one. The players. This is honestly one of the worse community games I've ever played and it surprises me how a such a huge and great game could have such a bad community but looking at how big COD is and comparing its community to LoL, it feels like both have the same 11 year olds are playing both games. A game focused on helping each other out and typing strategies and tactics on how to win seems to do the opposite. About 4/5 games I've been in seem to have a "toxic player," Yes I mute them and all but when I unmute them, they just keep blaming and flaming the other allies and telling that they suck and should not play when instead they could be telling them what items to buy or what to do. I really hope Riot can improve this soon because I can't really play if every game I join it seems like a kid just turned off his Xbox and logged into LoL. I didn't start playing this game to argue with a player who thinks he's the ****. I started playing so I can have fun and enjoy the game.

As long as LoL is free to play all the "kids" will be playing and trolling and spouting abusive remarks at people in chat. Riot and many F2P companies fail to realize that F2P attracts Trolls, the people who are willing to Pay to Play don't really want to risk a ban because they are using their money for the account. F2P players don't give a ****.

My solution: Make the game First time Pay 2 Play - You have to buy a Champion Bundle pack to play - Get rid of the Free champs this week - If you make another account you have to Pay for the Bundle again..

Gets Rid of the Trolls - Smurfs - Little Kids with no money that do nothing but curse and talk negative to everyone.

You're wrong on so many levels. First of all plenty of people have invested money into this game on skins, ip boots, exp boots etc. I'm one of them.

Plus WoW was a monthly based subscription game that had PLENTLY of awful trolls. You're logic fails, get out moneybags.

I believe we are diagnosing the problem incorrectly. Age is a very limited factor when it comes to determining the demographic of trolls. I think that most of the trolls actually come in the form of literate adults. Little kids should be able to play, they have just as much right as adults do. In addition, it falls onto the player what kind of spirit he/she brings to the game, not their age. I don't like the idea of a pay4play, considering most of my friends and I were initially compelled to play by its free4play format. In addition I can not imagine it will change the culture of interaction between players a bit, even by your logic.

Even by sight of the champion menu, I'm anxious and worried to meet my players. It is becoming increasingly rare to find a decent group of allies. I really want to start playing with friends to ward away any danger of meeting ill spirited players, but it seems to limit the development of teamwork and cooperation I can build as a player.

You could have just as easily left out that last line and your point would have gotten by without the nonsense. It's a matter of choice when it comes to how much we write or say to another person. When we invite hostility to a conversation or we continually perpetuate and normalize it, it will show up much more often in our community which goes against the nature of this particular thread.

Not everyone is going to be a pro at this game. Everyone is going to be bad when they start. But people who have logged a lot of hours into this game prefer to rage at their teammates and tell them how much they suck instead of offering helpful advice.
They're not going to get any better if you rage at them, and they're liable to be a drag on your team. So you're hurting your chances at victory as well as putting off new players.
But most people would rather "LOLUSUCKGTFONOOB" than actually help someone.

Most of these players are looking for a reaction. Your best tool is to simply ignore them, which can be very hard at times. Trying to reason or even plead with them is near useless. You could also network and make friends in order to increase the sportsmanship of your team. Letting them get to you is their success and they'll always be around.
