On Labor Day weekend, Seattle hosted its 6th annual Penny Arcade Expo, in which nerds and geeks take over the entire city and frighten the natives. Riot shipped some of our own illustrious nerds and geeks up there to mix and mingle, with the promise of delivering the exclusive Riot Singed skin to any fans that meet us, and meet us they did!
We were overwhelmed by our popularity, being approached by fans and enforcers alike, and the information booth had to print out custom signs about our tournaments and meet ups because so many people were looking for us.
Summoners!
In February of this year we announced that we had reached an agreement with a publisher to bring League of Legends to all our fans in Southeast Asia. Today, we are ready to reveal the identity of our partner. We are extremely pleased to be able to announce that Garena will be working with Riot to bring League of Legends to Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
How many people can I queue with in "solo" matchmaking?
You are allowed to join the solo ranked games queue either yourself or with a maximum of one other player.
Can I queue with fewer than five people for Summoner's Rift in ranked games?
If you wish to participate in a ranked game on Summoner's Rift, you may either queue with a full premade, or with one other person in the solo queue. Remember that you can still queue for a normal game with a premade team of any size.
What queues will be available for Ranked Games in Season One?
Once ranked play begins, all player's ratings will begin at the same rating, and players will be able to select one of the following queues for competition: Solo/Two player Summoner's Rift, Full Premade Summoner's Rift, and Full Premade Twisted Treeline. Once in queue you will only be matched against other players who have selected this specific queue type.
What will Season One mean for me if I don’t want to play Ranked Games?
Like so many of you loyal Runeterrans out there, the press really can't get enough information about Season One. G4 TV recently asked us to share a bit of what we've been working on, so those of you with cable television will be pleased to know that we're prepared to give little sneak peak of Season One awesomeness to our friends over at X-Play! Think about it.
When you sign in to PVP.net to play your games of League of Legends, it is our sincerest hope that you will encounter only pleasant players, who are polite and adhere to the tenets of the Summoner's Code. As we head into Season One, League of Legends will become an even more intense and competitive title. As such, we expect players to continue to show maturity and good manners to their fellow players despite the increased stress.

Tom Cadwell, in conjuction with the prominent PC gaming publication PC Gamer, has taken the time to bring you some insights into the design process of our latest champion Xin Zhao, the Seneschal of Demacia, who will be joining the League of Legends with the launch of Season One. Welcome to episode 12 of the Community Update. That's right, this one makes a dozen. If this were a bakery, we'd throw in an extra and just call this one 13.
